Beliefs and School MissionCrossville Elementary School staff and administration are united and guided by a desire to provide the most meaningful, intellectual, social, moral, and cultural educational experience for ALL students within the constraints of time and resources. Accepting the validity of the proverbial philosophy, "It takes a whole village to raise a child," the staff seeks to involve members of the community as positive agents of change in the education of its children. Only a coordinated, collective effort will enable our students to achieve their fullest potential. Crossville Elementary School staff and administration are conscious of, and diligent to the need for, continuous introspection and evaluation of their methods and materials. The staff and administration seek to exploit the opportunities afforded by the rising multicultural nature of our local area and American society in general. Definite action is taken to address these opportunities and problems fostered by such changes. The staff and administration of Crossville Elementary School exercise vigilance with regard to the issue of school safety. Student safety is paramount. This sense of security is enhanced by identification badges worn by staff and visitors, emergency calling system in each classroom, campus security cameras, the benefits of a full-time SRO officer, as well as security provided by the local community, when needed. |
