Focus 2011-2012
The Focus Program is a health education elective, and is a year-long course offered to students in grades 9-12. This course is designed to promote school and community partnerships for prevention of adolescent risk behaviors identified in the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Youth Risk Behavior Survey. The class is based on a student led approach and seeks to promote students involvement in the planning of prevention activities. Students that are in the focus program enjoy the benefit of no homework, and also get to participate in a variety of community service projects
Grade Determination: Grades will be based on daily participation and class prevention projects. *A portfolio of student work is available for viewing by parents and students.

Focus students also mentor a sixth grade student 1 day a week.
