DeKalb County Schools Out-of-District/Zone Request

Deadline is June 15, 2024

  • Out-of-district enrollment assignments are reviewed annually and changes made in accordance with prevailing conditions.  
  • See board policy page 15 of the Student Handbook "If a transfer is granted the parent/legal guardian must apply in writing each year to the school administration to continue attending out of his/her school zone."
  • Please know that we care very much about your child and will always consider his/her best interest before making any transfer recommendation. 
  • All out-of-district requests must be submitted by June 15th for the next academic school year.
  • The School Administrator will contact the Parent/Guardian on acceptance or denial of out-of-district request.
  • Please note that parents will be responsible for transportation.
  • An application must be submitted for each individual student.
